Slow Cooking a Pork Loin GF Style

Slow Cooking a Pork Loin GF Style
Pork is ready to cook!

I love slow cooked pork and it is so easy to make! I put a Smithfield’s pork loin in a crock pot with some veggies and seasoning and have a delicious meal in just a couple hours! I did not precisely measure so I have estimates below. When I make it again, I will be more diligent in my measurements.

  • Smithfield’s Pork Loin
  • Half a yellow onion
  • A celery stalk or two
  • A couple of garlic cloves (like a lot of garlic so I use 5 or 6)
  • about a tablespoon Turmeric
  • about a tablespoon Cumin
  • about a tablespoon Paprika
  • Pinch of Cayenne
  • about a 1/4 cup of water (just enough to fill the bottom of the crock pot so the pork doesn’t burn)
Pork is done!

I put the pork loin in the crock pot and add the water first. Then, add the spices and vegetables. Set your crock pot on high if you want this done in 3 to 4 hours. If you want it to cook slower or if you are not able to keep a close eye on it, set it on low and it should be done in 8 to 10 hours. Both taste delicious! I have some pics below. I apologize for the quality!
