Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Bacon Brussel Sprouts! Yum!!

I stole this recipe from Eating Well. I made some changes, of course.

Ingredients:
* 1 pound of brussel sprouts
* 4 slices of Boars Head Bacon
* Fresh Basil
* 1 Lemon
* 3 shallots diced
* 4 cloves of garlic (more if you love garlic, less if you don’t)
* Salt and Pepper to taste

Cut the brussel sprouts in half and boil them for 3 minutes. Scoop them out of the boiling water and place into an ice bath for 3 minutes and then drain. Cook your bacon until crisp and break it up into pieces. Take some of the bacon fat to use to cook the shallots and garlic. Cook them until soft and add the basil. Next, mix the brussel sprouts, bacon pieces, onion, and garlic mix together in the same pan and cook until the brussel sprouts are warm all the way through. If you do not have enough bacon fat in the pan, use a little olive oil. If you do not have time to warm it on the stove, put it in the over on 350 for about 10 -15 mi
